Private Scuba Certification Course
A private scuba class is the best way to learn to dive. No large groups or rigorous schedules to adhere to. Get scuba certified when you want, where you want. This is the most effective and efficient way to become a certified diver, and often the most fun! Private lessons also yield the best results and are the best method of training scuba divers.
FACT: The PRIVATE COURSE STUDENTS are the divers we see getting the most enjoyment out of diving, and the ones that keep diving long thereafter.
You can also add additional people to your class if you wish to take lessons with only your group or partner. Additional students may be added at the standard scuba course rate.
Private Scuba Classes have all the same requirements as our standard scuba class, except the following:
- You are the only student(s) in the course.
- One Instructor will be solely dedicated to your course, start to finish.
- eLearning is included with your $100 non-refundable deposit
- In some cases you may be able to carpool with the instructor.
Freshwater Springs - Price includes spring fees!
(For South Florida reef/boat dives, add $400pp plus your hotel):
- $789 First Student (3-5 Days in total, depending on your schedule)
- $649 Purchase required startup gear through iDive.
- $399 Each additional.
- $299 Each additional when they purchase required gear through iDive.
Scuba grade mask, fins, fin booties, snorkel, surface marker buoy, reel, log book, and soft weight are still required. A private fitting before or after shop hours are provided at no charge. This can be scheduled anytime from signup through day of course start.
Additional students can be added at the standard scuba class rate.
Ocean checkout dives are also a great option.
This requires the final 2 days to take place in South Florida; the first day a shallow shore dive, the final day on a boat over a coral reef offshore! One-two nights hotel stay may be required. This is the students responsibility for payment, however we will gladly recommend or arrange lodging for you if you wish!
Ocean checkout dives are typically held at a location a four hour drive South of St. Augustine, and well worth it...
If possible, this is the best and most recommended option!
